Debby Catanio, RYT 500

 Debby Catanio has been a student of yoga since 1997. She began practicing at a community college in California, quickly discovering that one class per week was not enough. She then found a small studio in her hometown and this is where the journey began.

In 1999 when she moved to NJ, leaving her yoga teacher was her biggest struggle. Debby quickly realized that there was yoga in NJ when she discovered Starseed Yoga Center in Montclair. This is where her practice deepened and evolved.

In 2003 Debby graduated from Starseed's Yoga Teacher Training Program, where her focus was on restorative and Viniyoga styles, which strongly influence her teaching today.

Debby continues to enhance her learning by taking workshops with teachers such as John Friend and Gary Kraftsow. She is currently working privately with Madelana to deepen her knowledge of the body and and sharpen her skills as a teacher of all levels of students.

She teaches classes at MadMatYoga and Toys-R-Us in Wayne. Debby heads our Childrens Yoga Programs.
