I began meditating,  then practicing and teaching yoga in the early 1990's while simultaneously doing my graduate studies in exercise physiology. This began my path to inner peace as I exited from the stressful life of a Wall Street C.P.A. I spent a few years working in the fitness industry as an exercise specialist and personal trainer, but it was the practice of Yoga that captivated me and drew me in fully, deeply and quickly.

I have had the privilege of studying with many amazing and masterful teachers over the years. I spent many years studying with Jyoti Chrystal (Starseed Yoga) and then later studying (Anusara Yoga) with John Friend. I have recently been touched by the powerful teachings at the Himalayan International Institute with Pandit Rajmani Tigunait.

I was integrally involved in the progression and growth of Starseed Center in Montclair and eventually served as the Assistant Director of Yoga Teacher Training in Montclair.

I began doing Thai Yoga Massage in 2003 as a natural progression of my background and strong curiosity to learn the body in order to help people heal themselves.

At about that  same time, I began collaborating with my co-author, Fr. Anthony Randazzo, on a book called Beatitudes, Christ and the Practice of Yoga which was published by Resurrection Press in 2006. Together we offer workshops in this healing approach to spiritual faith in the Christian mystical tradition of the Beatitudes. We have had the pleasure of presenting this work at such prestigious locations as The College of St. Elizabeth, Convent Station, NJ and  Kripalu Center for Yoga, Lenox, MA.

Three years later I began to study the Trager Approach to Psycho-Physical Integration, a movement-based approach to healing and life, and am now a Practitioner of this magical art of movement (www.trager.com).

My most recent journey is into the world of quantum physics and I've pursued some learning with Dr. Richard Bartlet in Matrix Energetics, a fun and surprising practice of healing through the science of possibilities and particles (www.matrixenergetics.com.)

All of these seemingly separate components led me to integrate an approach to yoga practice that I've been calling The Soft (Tissue) Approach to Yoga, which is a soft (yin) way to enter the body and remove blockages in the energy system that offers greater freedom in movement, mentality and perception. I have offered this as a week-long workshop at Kripalu Center in Lenox, Massachusetts.
