| Nanette Guida, RYT 500 |
Nanette became passionate about becoming a yoga teacher after discovering that the only relief from post back surgery was to take regular yoga classes. The Asana and Pranayama (breath) work began to melt away stiffness and tension bringing the mind and body back into balance. The practice became increasing amazing when a regular Pranayama practice began to play a pivotal role in the control of a chronic asthma condition. She completed her initial training with Jillian Pransky and Carrie Parker Gastelu co-directors of The Bright Spirit Teacher Training in Hoboken, New Jersey. She holds an additional certification through The Masala Restorative Teacher Training with Ellen Pfeffer and had the fortunate opportunity to have been mentored by the late Jyoti Chrystal of Starseed Yoga. After returning from a spiritual excursion to India where she was initiated into the Himalayan Tradition, she studied and completed her advanced teacher certification of Classical Yoga, Pranayama and meditation through The Himalayan Institute Teacher Association in Honesdale, PA. Having a light hearted sense of humor Nanette uses pearls of wisdom from various traditions and styles to weave breathing practices, relaxation and meditation to each of her classes. A naturalist at heart she likes to combine her love for yoga and passion for the outdoors by occasionally offering one day escapes to pristine locations. She is grateful to all the masters who have passed on the traditions of yoga for thousands of years. The many teachings are likening to the countless flowing streams and rivers that unite and become one endless body of water. Similar to a body of water, yoga offers a vast ocean of knowledge and calls out to those who wish to take a personal journey of self discovery. |
